Highlights from our last visit.

We really enjoyed the pool which has been now been converted to salt water. We couldn't believe what a difference it made. As well as being totally eco-friendly there are no harsh chemicals so your eyes don't sting and your skin feels so much smoother and softer. A real state of the art Salt Water Chlorinator was fitted which uses electrolysis to release chlorine gas from the salt in the water. This means the pool is virtually free of "chloromines" which are the nasty things that cause the smell and irritation to the eyes and skin. We also had a new timer, cover and roller so, as well as being so wonderfully refreshing, it is also lovely and warm! Dee & Dave from Wizard Pools (www.wizardpools.com) worked really hard. Despite various setbacks, nothing was too much trouble and even the most challenging problems were overcome. They know what they are doing and they do it well!
The wasps (see our previous post) had been really busy and their nest in the sun umbrella was a lot bigger.
Although we were very sad to do it, there are other people who will be glad to know they have now been evicted!
As always, the garden had flourished and there was a beautiful flower on the yukka.

This is Los Molinos, one of our favourite places.

Notice the building on the far left. It can only be accessed by crossing the beach and scrambling over the rocks. For many years it has been derelict ...

This year, however, it appeared to be open and was a very interesting place with its ancient ovens and beautiful views over the sea ...
The owner, who was asleep when we arrived, seemed to be very pleased to see a potential customer ...

Although the menu was rather limited - black coffee or a bottle of beer (without a glass!)

We also visited la Casa de los Coroneles in La Oliva (another of our favourite places)...

Where the palm trees were laden down with dates. And finally ....

This appeared in El Sol News! Now everybody knows who is acting the goat!
I did get my prize, which was a really good bottle of wine and a scrumptious goat cheese. Thank you Wizard Pools!
