Betancuria, Puerto del Rosario & La Oliva.

We met up with a couple of natives on the side of a mountain.
They were big but quite friendly!

View from the top.

Lunch in a restaurant in Betancuria.

It's no wonder the local elderly people look so fit.
They are provided with special places full of keep fit machines & equipment -
a bit like a geriatric children's playground!
Here are just two examples in Puerto del Rosario (although all the towns and villages have them).
Some of the many statues adorning the streets in Puerto.

This is the inside of the house in Puerto where the famous writer Unomuno lived in 1924.

A selection of photos from Oasis Park.

View of Montana Tindaya through an ancient doorway.

The plaza at La Oliva.

View from the Casa del Coroneles, La Oliva.

Denise, Brian & David - checking out a potential new house!
Taking a rest on the volcano walk!

Some flowers from the garden.
And finally .......

David enjoying himself in the pool!!!
