The kittens are growing rapidly ...
Seeing them looking so relaxed in the garden it is hard to believe that they are wild.
They each have their own personality and character and we have so enjoyed their company that we almost forgot that the whole object of feeding them is to keep them together until they can be neutered. (The oldest four kittens must be almost old enough by now).
As the cats are wild the only way to catch them is in a trap -
This has all been arranged by "Catwoman"Lynn and the Twinkle Trust http://www.twinkletrustanimalaid.org/home.htm who do not like seeing cats destroyed but, to stop the line of kittens, they have them neutered and, their ear is clipped to show they have been done and then they are released . We caught the black & white mum last week and, as you can see from the next picture, although shaved and stiched she looks none the worst for her experience.
Apart from "Operation Kittycat" we did some snorkelling in the lagoons at El Cotillo.
The water is crystal clear and warm and there are so many varieties of colourful fish...
It's a bit like swimming in an aquarium!

We've just returned from Fuerte yesterday (our house is at Las Margaritas, Corralejo. We don't live there but spend around 4 months per year there, on and off) I stumbled across your blog whilst 'Googling' Lynne (Catwoman) as hubby, David, is going to help her to get her website up and running. If we can get her to start her own blog maybe you could link ... all in good time. She and Twinkletrust do brilliant work there don't they. I met several of the rescue cats who are staying at Lynne's apartment temporarily and just fell in love with one of the youngsters - unfortunately our lifestyle doesn't lend itself to having cats or dogs at the moment (too much travelling to and from Fuerte)!!
Your villa looks beautiful and its great to 'meet' other Brits who obviously love the island as much as we do.
Cheers
Sue
